3:0, what a perfect score. Most important, it gives us
3 more credits. We palyed quite well last Sunday, even
though the wind was strong. Everyone hassled and kept
the pressure on them everywhere in the field. This
strategy is effective against Sideburns and it
resulted in a lot of loose balls and turnovers.
Sideburns obviously did not position themselves
correctly and I don't think their best defense player
showed up. We created about 8 1-on-1 chances and
cashed in 3 of them. Charlie's performance as an
offensive mid-fielder (QianYiou) is as impressive as
that when he playes as the sweeper. About 10 minutes
into the game, he drived deeply into the opponent's
penalty box near the right post and made a low pass to
the other side. The ball found the lonely Li Wei
facing to the surprised goalie. Li Wei calmly sent the
ball into the net. This goal gave us the early lead
and set the tune for the game. Unfortunately, we were
unable to get more goals with numerous gold score
opportunaties until the final stage of the game. It
put great pressure on us, especially when we palyed
against the wind in the second half and the opponent
sent numerous balls into our penalty box, expecting
mistakes from us. About 10-15 minutes before the game
was over, JiLin challenged their right corner-back and
picked up the loose ball. His penetration into the
penalty box caught their sweeper's attention. However,
JiLin successfully passed the ball to ZiGao, who was
around the penalty-kicking point. Their goalie tried
his best, but was still unable to block ZiGao's
powerful shot. Several minutes later, ZiGao dribbled
through a couple of their defenders and had a 1-on-1
with their goalie. The desperate goalie had to pick up
the ball in the net again. Two more impressive plays
include Xiao Bian's 1-on-1 after a long drive from the
backcourt and Hua Xiang's goal attempt using his hip.
XPP, if you gave your LaoEr a chance, most likely you
would tie with Li Wei as the 2nd top scorer for now
-:).

Half season has past and we are doing pretty well so
far. We should be proud of our accomplishment with
limited subs and unexpected changes in this season.
Our objective now is to be successful instead of
getting survived in this competitive division. We are
on the right track. Lets focus on our next two games
and make our life relatively easy in the rest of the
season. Please do not take it for grant that the next
game against SWB is an easy game. SWB is actually
rougher than Sideburns and quite dirty when it is
losing a game. We have to keep it simple and drain
their energy using the width of the field. We need to
be patient but act quickly whenever there is a hole in
their defense. Another thing we need to pay some
attention is to stay cool all the time. The referees
in this league are amateur like us and some of them
are very sensitive. They make mistakes, some time
intentionally. Confronting with them will only make it
worse in most of cases and we can do almost nothing to
recover the demage since this league is lack of the
referee. If you really want to discuss with the
referee, wait for a while, a friendly reminder could
help and the referee may find a chance to compensate
later.

Most recent news: Rusty Nuts beat Real San Luis with
4:3. It is catching up with Inter-Peru. The two games
between them will be critical for them. I hope each of
them wins one or ties both games. This result also
provides us an opportunaty to become #3, if we beat
Real San Luis also.

Enjoy the win and see you guys next Sunday.

Go Dragons,

Li Huan
